The National Institute for People with Disabilities' (NIPD/NJ) Asperger's Skill Building Network (ASBN) is currently accepting applications for 2017 groups in all locations: Wayne, Parsippany, and Warren, NJ. NIPD/NJ's Asperger's Skill Building Network is an intensive social & vocational skills instruction & support program for adults diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome, autism spectrum disorder, or those with similar traits. The program uses the latest research and skilled clinical staff to facilitate individual growth in employability, sociability, and self-awareness. Groups of about 12 participants meet with 2 staff, twice per week, for 5 hours per day where they have the opportunity to gain support from welcoming and accepting peers while learning and practicing various skills via fun and dynamic hands-on activities, such as skits and role-plays, acting games, yoga, videotaping and viewing, and community outings.
We are holding information sessions this week on Thursday 6/15 at our Parsippany location. To register, schedule an intake or to obtain more information contact Dara Friedman, Program Supervisor, at firstname.lastname@example.org or 973-720-3762.
