Mayo Performing Arts Center (MPAC) presents "The Little Prince"  at 1:30 and 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 7.

The 4:30 p.m. show will be an autism friendly performance. MPAC autism friendly performances have been designed to create a supportive, welcoming experience for children on the autism spectrum. Each performance features modulated sound and light levels and a relaxed environment where the audience is free to talk, vocalize, and leave and re-enter the seating area. All children and their families are welcome to enjoy these performances. Support for this performance is provided by the George A. Ohl Jr. Trust.

Inventive puppets, live actors, original music and magnificent set design bring to life Antoine de St. Exupery's heart-warming story of the Little Prince who gains rare and unique insights into love, loss and laughter that awakens the child tucked away inside us all. Ages 4-10 4:30 performance is sensory-friendly.

A pilot crashes in the Sahara desert and while frantically trying to repair his wrecked plane he is interrupted by the apparition of a little boy who asks him to draw a sheep. As absurd as it seems, 1,000 miles from all inhabited regions and in danger of death, he takes out a scrap of paper and a pen. And so begins their adventure.
